Woodlands Church is a large and vibrant city centre church. Their community is made up of around 1,500 adults, plus 300 children. Woodlands church is open, modern, relevant and above all authentic in their approach to church and faith. It has a diverse mix: professionals, people from the streets, and pretty much everything in between. Students, young people, singles and families of every shape and size. People – with all their problems, questions and quirks – are a priority. Anyone and everyone is welcome.
Woodlands Church was started in 1995, to accommodate the growth of The Community Church, itself an offshoot of Highgrove Church. These three sister churches remain linked to this day, as the Woodlands Group of Churches. What started with just a handful of people in 1983 has mushroomed incredibly. Yet the four goals of their vision has remained the same the whole way through: Commitment – Service – Discipleship – Unity . In this way they strive to continually reproduce the life of Jesus.
